What to expect after we discuss

What to expect after we discuss at the phone (or by email):

Before installing an air conditioning unit, a technician will perform a home check to determine the size and type of system that will be needed for the space. This check will typically involve a site visit to the property where the technician will assess a variety of factors including the square footage of the home, the number of rooms that require cooling, the number of occupants in the home, and the type of insulation that is in place.During the home check, the technician will also assess the existing ductwork and electrical system to ensure that they are compatible with the new air conditioning unit. If there are any issues with the ductwork or electrical system, the technician will discuss the necessary repairs or upgrades with the homeowner. After the home check is complete, the technician will provide a recommendation for the appropriate size and type of air conditioning unit based on the information gathered during the assessment.

Air Conditioning Installation:Once the appropriate air conditioning unit has been selected, the installation process can begin. The installation process will typically involve the following steps:

  1. Preparing the installation site: The technician will prepare the installation site by removing any old equipment or debris that may be in the way. They will also make sure that the area is clean and free of any obstructions.Installing the indoor unit: The technician will install the indoor unit or units in the ideal location in the room. This unit will typically be mounted on the wall or ceiling and will be connected to the outdoor unit via refrigerant pipelines and electrical cable. A condensate hose will also be attached to the unit and this will collect the water resulted in the dehumidification process.Installing the outdoor unit: The outdoor unit will be installed on pads outside the home. The technician will connect the unit to the indoor unit using a refrigerant line.Running the electrical wiring: The technician will run electrical wiring from the indoor unit to the outdoor unit. They will also connect the wiring to the home’s electrical system.Testing the system: Once the installation is complete, the technician will test the system to make sure that it is functioning properly. They will also make any necessary adjustments to ensure that the system is running efficiently.

Overall, the installation process can take a full day, or, depending on the complexity of the installation and the size of the system being installed, several days.

Note: It’s important to work with a F-GAS certified technician who has experience installing air conditioning systems to ensure that the installation is done within the legal requirements, correctly and safely.
